Mathieu Van Damme & An Oost. Welcome at Design&Breakfast! Both having traveled a lot, we kow how it feels: ariving in a dull hotelroom, looking at the furniture and realizing how impersonal it all is. The urge of getting outside into the daylight... We try to do it differently by creating a warm and special atmosphere in our own interior. The three spacious bedrooms on the second floor of our 19th century riverside manorhouse are comfortably furnished with some of the nicest design pieces of this century. We love Joe Colombo, Panton, Wegner, Castiglioni, Eames and many more. And even if none of these names say anything to you, it doesn't matter: the most important thing is that it looks and feels good. Each of the three rooms has a different feeling. The White room is serene with a hint of color here and there. The bright and colourful Orange room seems to make every guest happy. The Silver room transports you into space age. There are two bathrooms across the hallway of the rooms and a private kitchen is available for the guests. You are welcome to enjoy our towngarden or make use of our bicycles. You can also park your car safely and discover the city by foot or bike. It only takes a fifteen minute walk to get to the historical center of Gent. The train station 'Dampoort' is reachable within 10 minutes walking. Each room has a television and dvd-player and for those who like to sleep long, there is a late check-out.
